Cinnamon

The word cinnamon comes from the Arabic “Kin Anomon”, which means “Chinese scented plant”. It is among the most ancient spices ever known: In China, it has been used since 3000 BC. It arrived in Europe about 1000 years later and, over the centuries, it has won the hearts of aristocrats from all around the world, to the point that in the Middle Ages it was called “the kings’ spice”.
