A family, a brand, a story.
Giuseppe Lochis, known as “Polot”, was born in 1882. In the early twentieth century, he began producing wines, musts and spirits in his workshop.
From the very beginning, passion and dedication set the Lochis family apart. Their constant drive to improve both their work and their products gave every new venture a distinctive and unmistakable character.
With the second generation, the family moved away from wines and musts to focus on liqueurs and sugar-based syrups. Research and innovation continued through the following generations.
By the fourth generation, another major step had been taken: alcoholic products were discontinued, syrup production was expanded and fruit-based semi-finished products were introduced as a key step in the growth of General Fruit.
The determination, honesty, curiosity and confidence in the future that defined Polot have travelled through five generations. They remain at the heart of General Fruit and of the people who inherited his values.
In tribute to the tireless Polot, a new range was created in his name, carrying a lifetime of work and experience in every product.
