SAFFRON: THE ELEGANT TASTE OF THE GOLDEN FLOWER
Glass bottle - 700 ml
In the I century BC, the famous Roman poet Ovid wrote about Crocus, a mortal man who was turned into a plant because of his love affair with the nymph Smilax. Crocus is the beautiful, elegant, purple flower native to Minor Asia from which saffron is extracted. The first European producers of saffron were based in Southern Italy, where the favorable climatic conditions and fertile soils have allowed the precious “golden flower” to grow strong and beautifully since the XVI century.
POLOT 1882 saffron syrup holds all the elegance of the crocus flower and the richness of its spicy, woody flavor.
